Huawei Honor joins Nexus Prime in rivalling iPhone 5

By: Chris Maugham | September 27, 2011

Once again Apple’s flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5, is being tipped as the one to beat despite the company’s drop in share hold of the market. It seems like every new device that releases intends on bettering the popular product, the latest of which is the Nexus Prime from Samsung. Another device joining the iPhone 5 rivaling list is the Huawei Honor.
The China based Telecommunications Company announced their high end product yesterday and will be hoping to compete in the market at the highest level with it when it releases globally. Judging from its impressive looking specs, they might just be able to do so, which will mark a first for this company. READ THE FULL ARTICLE: ProductReviews

Google Drive possibilities: Android/Chrome integration

By: Peter Chubb | September 27, 2011

One has to wonder that now we are slowly moving more of our technology over to cloud storage that hard drives will begin to reduce in size one again? We are not there yet, but why would you want a 1TB hard drive in your computer, when you will be saving more of your content online? Google Drive is a fine example of this, which to some looks likes a re-branded version of Google Docs
The future of the new service could end up being a bigger deal than Dropbox, simply because of the integration possibilities with Android and Chrome, well that’s according to TIME. There had been rumors that the new service should have already been launched, but was delayed to coincide with the release of Ice Cream Sandwich. There is certainly some merit to this, as Apple will be offering iOS users their new cloud storage service very soon, so makes sense for Google to do the same. READ THE FULL ARTICLE: ProductReviews

Google+ celebrates 50 million users with CityVille addition

27 September 2011 10:20 GMT / By Paul Lamkin

Since opening up invite-free to the public, it's been Google+ mania. You can't walk down the street without hearing someone exclaiming their joy that yet another social network has entered their life. Or something like that.
Whether its cultural impact is on a par with other social platforms is debatable at the moment, but as Pocket-lint's teacher said the day we were relieved of our milk money collecting duties - "the figures don't lie".
And the figures are big: 50 million big according to Paul Allen, who has been tracking Google+ users from day one.
"Since being opened to the general public (over age 18) last week, Google+ has been growing by at least 4 per cent per day, meaning that around 2 million new users have been signing up each day," he wrote, on Google+ of course. READ THE FULL ARTICLE: PocketLint

Hopefully the illustrious iPhone 5 or whatever it will be called should soon see the light of day, and satisfy the growing anticipation from many consumers. Presently we can’t be sure what specifications the handset will have as there are different rumors daily. Only yesterday we heard that Apple could be introducing an iPhone 5 with LTE capability. This doesn’t stop some ingenious mock ups appearing online, as a video showing an iPhone 5 hologram keyboard is a viral hit.
You can see the video yourself below and is a concept of the iPhone 5, and according to Cnet was cleverly created by the 3D team at Aatma Studio. It obviously isn’t an iPhone 5 but really clever all the same, and the feature could be seen a few iPhones down the line. READ THE FULL ARTICLE: ProductReviews
