Apple rakes in 200,000 iPhone 4S pre-orders at Korean telecoms

Apple’s iPhone 4S has hit 200,000 pre-orders in Korea at SK Telekom and KT, the two largest Korean wireless firms, reports Chosun. The pre-order sites were smashed as of Friday at midnight, when the phone went on sale, and crashed due to high traffic.
This follows up the news that Apple’s Korean stores were sold out of the iPhone 4S within 20 minutes of the sales going live. Users then turned to SK Telecom and KT to place their orders, causing the sites to strain. READ THE FULL ARTICLE: TheNextWeb

Google+ business pages now available, going after Facebook

Since it was first launched back in the summer Google+ has continued to grow with user numbers and options. The surge of traffic that was seen just after the social networking site was finally opened to all comers may have slowed down a bit, but Google are continuing to offer new features. Today we can tell you that Google+ business pages are now available, as the new kid on the block continues to go after Facebook.


An article over at the BBC is reporting that Google have said the new Google+ Pages facility will provide companies and brands the platform to engage with their audience. Google Doodle archive gets larger with Marie Curie celebration

There are often some worthwhile Google Doodle’s that showcase a variety of famous people throughout history or important dates. Today sees the Google Doodle archive get larger with a Marie Curie celebration on what would have been her birthday.

The Noble prizewinning scientist is celebrated on the Google homepage with a simple image with her working away at her work bench. She was born in Poland and is best known with her work in fighting cancer and her part with radioactivity.
